Özellikle teklifsiz dilde so that daha yaygın olarak kullanılır. Bu iki yapıdan birini kullandıktan sonra
ikinci özne (she, he, it, I, you, they, we) ve sonrasında da can, will, may yardımcı fillerinden biri kullanılır:
She’s staying here for six months so that she can perfect her English.
